Jobing Description
General Summary of Duties :
Responsible to post and balance all daily charges for the hotel in a timely and efficient manner.
Typical Physical/Mental Demands :
Requires mobility.
Requires prolonged sitting.
Ability to grasp, lift, and carry supplies weighing a maximum of 50 pounds.
Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors.
Normal vision and hearing range.
Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
Typical Working Conditions :
Work is performed in an office environment and designated areas of the hotel.
Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following) :
1.
Post and balance all hotel work for each day. 2.
Prepare restaurant audits to breakdown and balance data. 3.
Verify accuracy of data, calculations, postings, and transactions recorded. 4.
Generate audit reports accurately in accordance with standard procedures. 5.
Thoroughly document audit procedures to support work performed and results obtained. 6.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Performance Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities) :
Knowledge of accounting operations concepts, practices, and procedures.
Ability to perform basic math skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error.
Ability to operate office equipment (i.e., computer, 10-key, copier, fax, and telephone).
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
Education :
High school education or equivalent.
Experience :
B asic auditing experience preferred.
License/Certificate :
None.
