  • Overview

    AmTrust has an immediate need for a Claims Clerk -Bill Pay. This position is located in Boca Raton, FL. The claims clerk performs various support functions for the claims department that include, but are not limited to, those listed in the essential job functions section below.

    Responsibilities

    • Detailed audit of issued payments verifying substantiating documentation
    • Reviewing invoices in a detailed manner for necessary information in order to issue payments for Workers Compensation claims
    • Other special payment projects as assigned by supervisor
    • Indexing claims documents by identifying and routing mail appropriately through an imaging system
    • Operate a variety of office equipment, including computers, printers, Rightfax, and copy machines
    • Tracking and reporting daily productivity
    • 6-months of experience in an insurance claims department, or related experience
    • Basic knowledge of claims procedures and policies
    • Ability to take direction and make decisions
    • Proven organization and detail-orientation skills
    • Ability to learn new procedures quickly and adapt to a changing environment
    • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic understanding of business technology
    • Ability to work in a team environment

    Qualifications

    • Ability to take direction and make decisions
    • Self- organized and detail oriented
    • Computer savvy
    • Ability to toggle between multiple computer screens
    • May require occasional evening and/or weekend work
    • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and meet production guidelines
    • Basic understanding of business technology
    • 6 months’ experience in an insurance claims department or related experience
    • Data entry experience preferred

    Education

    • High School Diploma
