The Position
Midwest Steel is hiring an Accounting Admininstrative Assistant to support the accounting and legal department by maintaining and tracking state, county and city licenses and certificates. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Assistant is the initial point of contact for the Company and will interact with both customers and employees on a day-to-day basis. Attention to detail and organization are the primary attributes to describe the candidate that will best fit this role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in annual financial audits, collecting and submitting benefit renewal forms, maintaining Company vehicle records and files and being the “go-to” person for administrative needs in the accounting and legal department.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities
  • Associates Degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of administrative and support experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with Timberline preferred, but not required
  • High organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Friendly and helpful demeanor
