ABOUT US
employU is a Nonprofit Employment Service contracted with The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation assisting people with disabilities prepare for, become and retain employment. We are currently seeking a TransitIon Coordinator to work in our Transition Program which serves high school students in the community. The Transition Coordinator will primarily need to work nights and weekends to work around the participants' school schedule.

Bilingual is a plus (English / Spanish); ASL is a plus.

Job Description
Summary
The Transition Coordinator is the direct liaison between employU and VR Counselors.
The TC works to train the job coaches, hold weekly planning meetings with their team,
review payroll for clients and staff, set goals for their area and assign each JC a monthly
goal, run caseload reports, review case notes, read JC daily activity reports, and
coordinate intakes of new clients, ensure Plan and Agreements/ final reports are submitted in a timely manner and that regular PPT and SA classes are scheduled as needed for the area.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and in the field at various business locations. The
role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, email and a variety of
computer programs.

Physical Demands
The employee frequently is required to drive for long periods of time, stand, walk, reach with hands and
arms, lift up to 40 lbs.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full-time position, days of work are Sunday through Saturday- hours will vary.
Potential for rate increase after probationary period.
Travel-
This position requires regular intrastate travel
Required Education and Experience

Current Florida driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations and proof of vehicle insurance
with $50,000/$100,000 minimum coverage for all employees transporting VR clients.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
A copy of a Master’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or
university and written documentation (resume) of one year of successful experience and
employment in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational
rehabilitation program;
OR
A copy of an Associates in Arts Degree from an accredited college or university and
written documentation (resume) of two years of successful experience and employment
in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program
OR
Written documentation (resume) of four years of successful experience and employment
in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program.
