|Position Summary:|| |
The Martins lab is looking for a self-driven Research Assistant I with strong work ethics and high attention to detail to help develop immune interventions aimed at preventing or controlling HIV infection in a nonhuman primate model of HIV/AIDS research. Candidates with a background in molecular biology and immunology will be given preference. The successful applicant will be expected to work under general supervision, independently and in collaboration with others; perform research for projects and provide interpretation and initial analysis of results; investigate, troubleshoot and modify methods and procedures; assist in designing experiments; perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
|Basic Qualifications:|| |
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained. Requires 1-3 years experience. Candidates possessing a Master’s degree, 0-2 years experience required.
|Preferred Qualifications:|| |
Florida & Palm Beach County residents are preferred.
